The dress looks lovely! I have seen a few dresses I like on that site. Can you link to that one on the site? How much was it? Did you have to pay customs?

    Hi all,

.....ARGGHH!! I can post a link as i'm a new user, i've put the photos on photobucket. If you go onto photobucket website, type in chobson0805 in the search bar then click on view my profile you should see them. Photos aren't great as the dress isn't being worn.

    But I can ;)http://s1267.photobucket.com/profile/chobson0805
  • Unfortunately I have had a terrible experience with Dressing Pod. I ordered 5 bridesmaid dresses. Two of the five were not to the measurements I provided and the zip broke on two of the others the first time they were put on.

I contacted the company who ignored my concerns and responded with a generic email stating that I must have given them incorrect measurements and that they would be happy to give me a discount on future purchases.

I responded explaining that I needed the dresses in the correct measurements as I had provided and was able to give evidence.

They replied with a very slightly amended version of their first email.

I have since written about 6 emails and they are not responding at all.

I would not advise anyone to use these at all - they are cheap but cost you more in the long run. I get married in 4 weeks and am not hopefull they are even going to respond to me so will probably have to buy new dresses from the highstreet for all my bridesmaids.

    Steer Well Clear!
  • I have my wedding dress from dressing pod and its gorgeous, fits like a glove and excellent quality. My friend has also got an evening gown from them, she is also very happy. I would recommend them!
  • I'd advise to avoid this company like the plague. i ordered a dress for my Mum for a wedding and when it arrived it was poorly made with tears and fabric at inconsistent lengths.

I sent it back immediately for a refund with supporting pictures and i was given the run around for months...When they eventually decided to issue a refund, they did so in US Dollars and not GBP. This meant I was refunded a lot less than what I originally paid. When I queried this with them, they advised that there is a problem with their PayPal and they are not able to make any further payments until this is fixed. I have still yet to receive the full amount of money back and it has been 5 months since i returned the dress.

    Not happy
  • I felt I needed to update the reviews after spending weeks wondering if too order from Dressing Pod or not after reading such mixed reviews.

Firstly i ordered standard sizes that the girls would wear in the UK - Some old comment said sizes were small but not in this case, they fit perfectly.

It did not take me to any dodgy site to pay and i received email confirmation of my order immediately. ( did pay by credit card for extra security but it wasnt needed)

They updated me and responded to all emails i sent in a very timely and polite and professorial manner.

I was sent my tracking number and was able to follow the shipping process all the way from chine to the uk.

I was not charged by customs.

The dresses are stunning, well made, beautiful quality material and exellent value for money. Couldnt have bought anything any nicer from the UK in a bridal shop, but cold guarentee that i would have paid 3X the price.

I will mails photos if any one would like them.

My dresses were quoted for the exact same dress at £229 in the uk totaling 1374.00 for all 6 dresses and i paid 487.00 - Honey moon iis now possible.

Like i said i can post or inbox photos of my bridesmaid in their dress. Just pleased with a service
  • Just want to highlight that despite Dressing Pod advertising a 7 day returns policy.....they have covered every base and eventuality so in effect once you order .....thats it! Some of the pictures dont show enough detail so you take a chance.......some you win some you lose.......we lost! 3 bridesmaids dresses........91 quid each.......tacky tacky tacky.........buyer beware......o
If you take a chance buy one to see if it is what you want and then and only then proceed to buy subsequent dresses for bridesmaids.

Hi all, I bought 5 bridesmaid dresses from dressingpod.com which I have now received . I have no complaints at all on the quality and look of the dresses, however the sizes are completely wrong. Every dress has been made 2 sizes too small! I have had a similar experience as smchugh81, generic email response telling me time and time again to measure everyone correctly. I did measure everyone before ordering and went with the generic sizing as it seemed straightforward. I have now had to order and pay in full for another 2 dresses and I'm really worried they wont be here in time :(
