    Hiya

I ordered my dresses from them on the 21/04 and got an email today saying they have been shipped. So far they have been really helpful, I picked a dress made of taffeta and they are making it in satin instead for no extra charge, they also respond quickly to any emails. When I ordered they had a few coupon codes which said were valid but the site wouldn't accept them, so I emailed them and they refunded the money back by paypal. Once I have received them I will let you know about quality, but 3 dresses for £150 including shipping I am prepared to take the risk. Read the other forum posts including the ones listed here and haven't found one bad word said about them!

Fingers crossed and good luck :)
  • Hi,

Yesterday I ordered 1 of their dresses (A Line Strapless floor length satin bridesmaid dress) in dark navy.

I paid £60 inclusive of postage which I didn't think was too bad and used the 5% discount for new customers, are there any others? Might be worth emailing them to ask if you don't mind sharing....

Looking at the reviews I feel quite confident that the dress will be of good quality... however not confident enough to go straight ahead and order my 3 bridesmaid dresses. Ordering just the 1 gives me a chance to order a different style if this one doesn't suit and the other will go on ebay.

I have been fretting for a while now looking for bridesmaid dresses. In the bridal shops I went to any similar floor length dresses were going to be around £200 each and they didnt really have the right sizes for my bridesmaids to try on so we wouldnt really be able to see if they looked nice until it was to late to change our minds. I can justify doing that for £60, not £200 and waiting 12 weeks for the dress to come in.

What are other people's experiences with buying bridesmaid dresses? Also interested to hear feedback from dressingpod buyers.

    Hi,

the code I used was the 5% off one, but it wasnt working the day I used it, which is why they refunded me.

My dresses are due for delivery today, and I believe that they have marked the package as a gift as I didnt incur any customs charges, which is great!

I had the same problem, looking in the bridal shops the dresses were lovely but £275, which is way over my budget. Once I get the dresses I will post about the quality and some pictures hopefully. Even if they need a few alterations i'm still well under budget.

Personally, I took my biggest bridesmaid to the shop with me, so she could try on different styles, as whatever suits her will suit the others who are much smaller. We got an idea of what looked nice and the details (i.e Ruching on the stomach, lace up back) and found dresses similair.

    Good luck dress hunting!!!

HI, did you order standard sizes or did you have custom-made? I have ordered a bespoke dress from a Chinese ebay merchant and I am worried sick *lol*

    Hi,

I ordered custom sizes as my girls are all a funny fit, and I would have had to pay for alterations otherwise. Im sure it will be fine, I was panicing after reading other horror stories about chinese dresses, but I'm glad I took the risk :)

can someone post the pic of the actual dress they received, pretty please...
  • Hi all,
The dress I ordered arrived this morning. It is gorgeous!! Everything I expected and more.

With me choosing a satin fabric I thought it would be shiny, its not. I think it's got more of a matt finish (not sure if thats the right description) but its actually for the better.

The dress is weighty so it hangs really well, it has boned bust and front, it is fully lined and the lace up back I chose is really good quality. It also has sewn in a bra hook for round the back, this means the bra hook can be fastened and it won't fall down/slip which is also really handy for the task of tieing up the back.

Because I purchased on a whim (without getting bridesmaid measurements) I chose a UK size 20, I think it's more like a UK 16 really but everyone has different opinions on sizes depending on where they get clothes from. A good idea if you're not ordering with custom sizes is to ask you bridemaids to do rough measurements and check with the size guide.
I am now going to place an order for all the bridesmaid dresses but they're all going to give me their precise measurements so that we can custom order.

Up to now, I cannot emphasise how much this site has helped me out. Can't believe I was considering paying nearly £200 a dress over here when I can get something stunning made to order.

ARGGHH!! I can post a link as i'm a new user, i've put the photos on photobucket. If you go onto photobucket website, type in chobson0805 in the search bar then click on view my profile you should see them. Photos aren't great as the dress isn't being worn.
