Damp, mould, peeling paint - HELP!

    The one on the stairs is not in the plaster board it's in the actual plaster and no there are only two of us who barely use the stairs and no jumping or anything. It's getting bigger and runs the entire length of the stair case on both sides. Should we patch it?

    I think you should inform LL, tell him the crack's getting bigger, and ask him if he wants to get a builder to assess it. (Might be that stairs are moving, i.e. coming loose from wall) If you haven't been doing anything out of the ordinary on the stairs, then I don't see how he can blame you, or deduct any money from deposit.

    (obviously, don't patch it until builder or LL looks at it)
