Hi
My family and I are going to ALton Towers and staying at Splash Landings Hotel Thursday for 2 nights/days
We are on bed and breakfast basis. DOes anyone know if there are meal deals at the resort or nearby bars/restaurants please?
Thanks for looking

Hi,
I have not been to any nearby pubs etc as we only stay one night. We always stop at the Mcdonalds just before we get to Alton towers, great to get hot drinks. Last time we also packed a big picnic in cool bags which we had as tea after coming out of the park. I did take flasks of soup to as my children like something warm. That filled us up and we then really enjoyed breakfast!0 -
Alton Towers has fast food restraunts (McDonalds/KFC/Burger King) across the park. They have "Coke" refill bottles that you can buy. I seem to remember it was buy 1, refill all day FOC.
Alton Towers is pretty much in the middle on no where, i guess within the surrounding 8-10miles there will be pubs which provide food/chip shops etc but you have to calculate the cost of eating out & fuel costs vs staying put.
I would probably put "Food Places" into TripAdvisor for "Alton, Staffordshire".0 -

Has anyone used one of these at Alton TOwers?0 -
Last time we went there was a pizza/pasta/salad buffet at a set price.Similar idea to pizza hut buffet.0

We always do Explorer Pizza Pasta as mentioned by Alye16 but not on all day eating. I only have 1 meal in the park at the most as we are there for the day.

Splash Landings have the buffet style restaurant but I have never seen any offers. You are looking around £55.00 for a family of 4 to eat before you start adding any drinks and when we last went in January we were disappointed with some of the food on the buffet. The dining all day option is new for Alton Towers this year.0

Just me who thinks that this can be hugely open to abuse? 1 adult purchased - 1 adult goes back and forth to get whatever they want and pass it to the rest of their family>
£22.50 for a family of 6! Bargain!!!!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Looks good! have a merlin pass now so would get 20% off too...
Would only use this if we were staying over though and try to get as much as possible that could be used for evening meal!0 -

Exactly what I thought! It says in the T&Cs that you cannot return to the same food place within half an hour but there is nothing to stop you from getting food from somewhere different :money:0
