Hi guys
I recently made a full and final settlement with barclays.
I found all the old paperwork today and realised I had paid quite a hefty amount for PPI.
I just wanted to know if I can claim it back even though I made full and final????
Thanks

If you have grounds for complain then you can still complain. Having PPI is not grounds for complaint though.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Was the PPI put onto the loan and you paid this by one monthly payment to the loan?, if you did then this was front loaded PPI, in effect a loan on the loan that you paid to term end with interest, this is the most upheld of all PPI mis sells.
Get back in touch with Barclays and let them know you have now found the agreement and realised the way this PPI works and although they made an offer and you accepted this the PPI was front loaded, had you known this at the time of making the original claim you would not have accepted the offer and ask them to take another look at this.
If they accept the claim any money you have already received will be taken off this.0 -

I read it that he repaid the debt. Not having an amount written off but coming to the natural end of a normal loan.
If an amount was written off as part of a settlement, then the bank can use any redress payment against that debt written off rather than repay it to the individual.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
