send emails from hotmail account to two hotmail accounts

I have opened a" family" hotmail account and want everything in this to be sent to
1) my hotmail account and
2) my mums hotmail account
it is just going to be used to send messages to members of our family but we both want our own private hotmail accounts seperate.
I have been in on my main account and did the following after reading instructions on a general search on the web
OPTIONS
,ACCOUNT
, EMAIL ADDRESSES ( SO YOU CAN READ ALL YOUR EMAILs FROM ALL OTHER ADDRESSES YOU CHOOSE)
SIGN IN.
ADD EMAIL ADDRESS.
INPUT MYNEW FAMILY EMAIL HOTMAIL ADDRESS
MESSAGE THIS EMAIL ADDRESS IS ALREADY TAKEN .
Of course it is taken it is my email address I am trying to add ! Driving me nuts any help please.

Your trying to add the new address to your existing hotmail inbox.

Why not just forward messages to the other family members rather than creating a new account?

DO you mean that you want all incoming mail on the family account to be automatically directed to two other Hotmail accounts?

Or that you want all outgoing mail from the family account to be CC'd to the two other accounts?

Or both?

steve1980 thanks for the suggestion of forwarding but i dont think that will work as mum is 80 so wont go into two accounts and even though i am a youngster neither will I. I wanted to manage the joint family one from my main hotmail account for both of us but make sure she gets everything aswell.

Yes youve got the idea all incoming mail from one family one to go automatically to the other two,
and
if possible all out going mail on the family one to be connected to the other two.

• Select Options | More options… from the toolbar in Windows Live Hotmail.
• Click Email forwarding under Managing your account.
• Make sure Forward your mail to another email account is selected.
• Type the email address to which you want Windows Live Hotmail to forward incoming mail in the text field below Where do you want your messages to be sent?.
• Optionally, make sure Keep a copy of forwarded messages in your Hotmail inbox. is checked; otherwise, no record will be kept in Windows Live Hotmail of forwarded emails.
• Click Save.
• Open the "Verify your e-mail address" you got at the target email address.
  • You may not have to verify your address if you forward to another Windows Live Hotmail account.
• Follow the verification link.
• Type the characters from the CAPTCHA image under Characters:.
• Click Continue.

Thanks Steve1980 for the advice . I have done what you suggested however it only lets me forward emails to one other named account
ie I can forward all emails on the family hotmail account to my hotmail account but poor mum is left out I cant forward messages to her hotmail account aswell !

Must be a way round this any help anyone !

Set up (yet another) account and forward all to there???

Can you maybe, like 'normal' pop3 stuff, leave the messages on the server so you can all see stuff??
