Paying Excess

Might be a stupid question but I'll ask anyhow!!

I was burgled yesterday:mad: and I'm about to claim on my contents insurance but my question is how is the excess paid? Do I have to send a cheque? Or do they take it out of my insurance claim?

It depends how it is settled.... if it is done by monies/ vouchers etc it will be deducted from what they send you.

If a supplier is appointed to provide replacement items it will be payable to the supplier

just ask them doing the claim if you are still worried,
but from past experiences, they deduct it from the final ammount they pay owt.
