Trying to decide on a satnav

I've recently bought a sat nav (Garmin 2460- which I realise is not one that you have mentioned, but I'm finding it great). Just wanted to mention that it's probably not sensible to rely on the features from their website as I found loads of errors when I was trying to decide.
What I love about mine is the large screen. What I don't like is the traffic update (doesn't seem to work- it wasn't on my list of 'must haves' anyway, but when I was stuck stationery on the M25, it kept telling me that there were no traffic problems on my route...)0 -
i have a garmin nuvi 1350 and whilst it is very accurate , the route it wants to send you on leave a lot to be desired , whilst in france last year i was staying about 5 minutes from a dual carriageway , not once on the return journey would it direct me home on that road , most of the time it wanted to send me down single track lanes , so most of the time i ignored it
Are you sure you've got it set to "fastest route" and not "shortest route"?0 -
p.s. One of my favourite road signs, I know a few other places that could benefit from having one:
