Travel insurance

I am buying a travel insurance for my son and am looking for an annual cover. I understand they do not cover for more than 60 days in a single trip. Does anybody know if once you are travelling on this insurance, you can extend it if you want to spend more than 60 days in a country. Also son has mild asthma, has not been a problem before but he carries his inhalers with him. I understand he will not get unpaid medical help if he has problems with his asthma. Should I declare this an existing medical condition, it has not been an issue before but you never know in a strange country? Lastly could somebody please recommend an insurance company? Thanks

all companies are different but if they have a limit of the ammount of days per trip on an annual policy then the chances of them extending this are very slim.

i know you want an annual policy for him but a single/longstay policy sounds more like what hes after.

with regards to the asthma i would definately mention it as if something does happen to do with the asthma then the company can invalidate a claim. with the asthma only being mild, they should ask questions relating to it to determine how much extra they will charge for it or whether to charge for it at all.
