Virgin Credit Card strange happenings...

in Credit cards
Hi all,
I recently performed a Money Transfer to my Current Account from my Virgin Credit Card, it was offering 0% for next 12 months or so.
It's something I have done before on a few occasions, the money normally takes a couple of days to appear in my current account but has taken a couple of days longer due to the bank holidays and weekend.
Immediately after requesting the transaction, the amount came off my available credit and appeared in my pending transactions.
So the money, £2500 appeared in my current account today and i decided to check my Virgin account online, and to my suprise It shows Zero balance, £4100 of £4100 available and NO pending transactions.
What is going on here!? I'm not going to ring them, if they continue to tell me I don't owe them anything, then thats fine by me!
Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience?
Thanks

I'm not sure what Virgin are up to at present. I made a Faster Payment to my account before Easter but upon checking my on-line account I see that I have been charged a late payment fee and found that my payment was only credited yesterday. Even taking Easter out of the equation I would have expected the payment made on 5th April to have been credited earlier.
I have queried this with an on-line message but after two days have not received a reply. I know they were looking to reduce staff and close down their Chester control centre, so not sure if this is part of the problem.
I have a number of other credit cards and am wondering if it is time to say goodbye to the Virgin CC.0 -
Rest assured they will rectify this - give 'em a few days.
These card companies never lose money in such fashion. If you love yourself, don't go aspending.0 -
It will be picked up when they do an audit, I must say how dishonest of you howeverDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

And yet I made a FP to Cahoot CC (Santander) on Sunday and it was credited online the same day.
Compare that to M&S. Payment made Sunday and it will only appear tomorrow.
There really should be some consistency.0 -
Knowingly withholding money is, erm, theft. The rest of us will have to pay for your ill-gotten gains, MT01.Credit Card (Mar 2011: £11,171; Mar 2012: £14,494; April 2012: £13,329)
Mortgage (Mar 2011: £199,200; Mar 2012: £190,340; April 2012: £189,635)
Debt Free date: May 2013
:xmastree: Clear debts by December 2012: £3,000/£12,0000 -

Your M&S payment needs to find it's way from their holding/collection account and onto your account (just like the OPs needed to find it's way from the Co-op collection account to their own MBNA card account).
The payment services directive governs maximum transaction times. And in both your cases, and that of the OP, all organisations have complied with them.
Payment due dates are the latest you must pay by...not a target to achieve. But if you do want to maximise the interest free days, then DD is the only way to do it because a payment due on Good Friday wouldn't have been collected until Tuesday 10th...some 4 days later.0 -

Just checked. I actually paid it on Bank Holiday Monday and it says 9th on the Cahoot website.
It usually appears within three hours whatever time of day or night I pay it. Most impressive.
I'm not saying that anyone's doing anything wrong, just that there is no consistency.0 -
Do you by any chance also bank with the Santander group? No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.
