My car has had it's day. Am looking into getting something small and economical for work and school run's. Wanted to hear from Daewoo Matiz owners and their opinion of this car, before I take the plunge and get one. Many thanks

What is your budget, there are better 'small' cars out there than the Matiz?0

I got £2500. With that, I want a small engine (no larger than a 1.4), 5 doors and I don't mind if it's got the street cred of a 3 legged donkeyBring back mark and lard NOW! or else (please) clique member no. 10 :j

I think you should be looking at a Japanese car for reliability. You might find an early Toyota Yaris but they are much in demand and hard to find. If you went for the Matiz (have you seen one?) £2500 should get you a 3/4 year old car.0

Please dont do it! I had one for 2 weeks as a hire car and it was truely awful! Felt like it was going to topple over at every corner, the steering wheel didnt seem to bear any connection to the wheels, and I wouldnt dream of putting mine, or anyone else's kids in one!0

I know of a couple of people who have them and they like them. They feel surprisingly fast too and there is some space in them. They're fairly reliable and you will get quite a new one for your budget.
Although I also know a three-legged donkey who would refuse to drive one.
As long as it's cheap and it suits your needs, why not? (Although there are better and more grown-up cars out there).Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350
