updating address details for RBS joint account

We moved house last year and OH visited the branch to give our new address. We have had our joint account for nearly 4 decades. Last week it came to light that only the address for OHs card has been updated and the address relating to my bank card is still the previous address. Visited bank today and was told that I had to notify my own change of address. OH was not told this at the time, and I don't think it is good customer service. This anomaly caused me great inconvenience but goodness knows when it would have come to light otherwise. At least address is sorted now. Hope this info helps someone else.

As you are already aware yes joint account customers needs to advise the bank of a change of address individually.

Also if you have a Credit card you need to notify them separately aswell.
