Furious when a company hides behind email. This company telesell you with a promise of 'helping SMEs to find public sector work'. They charge around £100pa for access to local authority tenders. I signed a year ago and paid by credit card, followed by a year's worth of erratic emails telling me of either a tender in an unrelated business category, or one miles away from my business area. Wouldn't use them again so had no intention of renewing.
Found that this year they automatically deducted my credit card for another year's subscription. Furious emails ensued (because they have no telephone service ) but they say I accepted their revised terms and conditions when I entered their website, and refuse to give me a refund. Disgusting behaviour.
So beware anyone signed with them in the last year - you must cancel 30 days prior to your renewal date, or renewal is automatic. Plus anyone thinking of signing, in my opinion, don't.

I have recently discovered their contact details, which by all accounts they don't like people to have. So here goes...
Director Adrian Pike 07595 022 439
Director Robin Mathos 07568 083 825
They often refute being themselves and claim to be other people if you phone so be careful.

Malcome will tell you he is in sales if you call, you have been warned.
You can recieve a full refund buy quoting a miss sale as their information is not unique to them and is readily available from all council and goverment sites free of charge.
Good Luck!0 -
Public sector work over a certain value has to be advertised in the London Gazette.
£100pa probably wouldn't be too expensive if the service was reliable. How much would it cost to have someone trawl the Gazette each week for opportunities? Even if it only took 30 minutes, you're talking about staffing costs of 26 hours a year plus overheads.0 -
Thanks for posting phone numbers as I've had no luck getting any response emailing this lot. I payed for a years subscription last year when my decorating business was desperate for work thinking I might get at least a few jobs from this site. Nearly all of the work offered was way out of my area or out of my skill range. To date I have had no return from the money I spent. I took this on the chin, but last week checked my bank statement and discovered they had took another years subscription at a staggering £178. Absolutely seething about this. I have requested cancellation and a refund but not had any response. Just hope my bank accepts my claim of non-authorised payment and pulls the payment back.
Would not recommend this company to anyone.0 -
I have had a major problem with a company called Dot Gov. Supplies and Services , who supply details of tenders and subcontracting opportunities to companies. I was given a very convincing sales spiel by a girl who cold called me at home. She was very convincing, and basically told me that the company would find me lots of relevant tenders for my little computer business. I explained that I was a one man band, and that my focus is helping people (often mature adults) who are not confident with computers understand the basics, and give them confidence. She said this was perfect, and said that I would get lots of local referrals from the likes of Nursing homes and care agencies who had clients who would need my service. I checked this several times, and she clarified it each time - 'yes, you will get referrals from small companies in the local area. And I fell for it. I parted with my money, I think it was £120.00, and started to sign in and regularly check the website. After a few months I realised I was getting no such relevant tenders, only large companies and local authorities wanting large computer companies to run whole programs and services for them. I had been conned, so I complained. I received a long drawn out reply, explaining that they cant guarantee what tender opportunities are available, and they explained the process in detail. This did not answer my question, so I sent another email asking for a refund, and was then told most of the money had been swallowed up in set-up costs, and that it would not be worth giving me a refund, and that they ensured they were applying office of fair trade rules to the system. I continued to complain, but got nowhere. So basically, this company can con you, and then keep all of your money if you complain. So be warned, this company are not what they seem - the main thing they care about is getting your initial payment, even if the person is completely unsuitable, as I was. Their sales staff must be trained to take anyone, even if the person is completely unsuitable. Be warned, and stay well clear if your a small business.0

We've had the same very bad experience with DOTGOV Supplies and Services, they are scam artists, BEWARE!!!
We fell for their sales call about 2 years ago, we didn't get anything out of it because all the tenders were for large businesses and in any case they just forward on the information that is freely available and in a much better format and easily searchable on the official government website, just search:
tendering for public sector contracts
and the official link should be top...
We've only found out they have charged our card for two renewals that we did not authorise and send us a professionally worded email saying we elected to auto-renew! - I assume the same template they send to everyone else they scam.
They claim we elected to "auto-renew" and that it is in their terms. It is on the second page of their pro-forma invoice in very small print.
We're trying to get our money back but hope nobody else falls into the same trap and would advise that you post up a review on as many sites as possible if you've had a bad experience with them.
They've just "revamped" their website to make it look more professional - do not fall for this. Do not use them, they are fraudsters!0
