Just an update, I swapped to British Gas, not the cheapest tariff I know, but they swapped the meters for free, quickly, efficiently and for free.
Now I am free to swap to whichever provider I choose, maximum benefits.

I would disagree, also you are not entitled to as many discounts. You certainly can't get the discount for paying via direct debit obviously.

Why have you today decided to bump this thread from this time last year?

Didn't really think about it as bumping, I was just updating for the people who had took the trouble to post answers. TBH, I haven't been on this site for ages and I was reading back answers to some old posts.
    Sorry for any inconvenience ;)

This is the reason suppliers charge, if they do it free people just move leving them with the cost of the change
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

I hadn't looked at this thread though !!
Wind your neck in mate! there's no agenda here, however, there is only you bumping it up now!!
I notice that you haven't actually made a valid point on anything to do with this thread, you've just come on to have a bit of a poke at someone, for no apparent reason.
Bit scary that you've checked all my visits, are you a stalker?? Bit weird !!

Wywth - I'm in sympathy with Smiffy on this; I thought his(?) update was very helpful, as I am thinking about getting rid of my PPM in the near future, so it was good to learn from his(?) experience and decision; even if it was a year after the thread was opened.
