They go under different names. Northendrecruit was the one I almost fell for.

You can pay via paypal which made me feel a lot safer instead of handing over bank details.

The price was 4.99 but after some research, they go under the name from this forum which led me here.

So glad I found this. I'm really desperate for work and been out of work 4years now. Only temp work round where I live and got diagnosed with a lifetime illness. Can still work but I can have flare ups which can last from days to several months and no job place would be happy with that time off so I need work at home stuff, enough to actually live off.
  • The email address has now changed from the gmail one to mw_boulton@hotmail.com, still asking the same £12.99 to join, email supposedly from a M W Boulton, calling himself an independent contractor, I agree definitely a scam, thanks to everyone for the information I sometimes have ended up getting suckered into this kind of stuff usually when Im out of work or needing money, but then thats what theyre playing on.
  • These guys (or similar) are now using Protech Services as an Alias...

To be fair, their email address is protechservicesrecruitment@hotmail.com

Totally not a good sign for a business.

The e-mail they sent me was...

Thank you for your interest for the role of a Home Based Data Entry Clerk.

I would like to provide you with some more information so you are aware of the position before we take the process any further.

A Home Based Data Entry Clerk requires:
    · A reliable computer
    · Internet access
    · A valid email account
    · Typing speed 30wpm
    · Access to either/or MS Word, MS Excel, Works, Notepad

Internet knowledge and previous Data Entry experience is useful but not necessary. Your main duties will be determining which emails/applications can be successfully processed. A step-by-step training manual will be provided which gives guidance and information on how to begin. This includes example emails, samples and a list of company Databases you will be working on. I will be here to assist you at any time should you require help with the role. The training manual can be completed in your own time and most applicants complete it within a day. As soon as you have completed the manual you can begin.

The hours of work are fully flexible giving you the choice to work part-time/full-time, days/evenings/weekends. However, the workload is constant so the more you work, the more you can earn. You will be paid £10.00- £15.00 for each completed application with the average person completing 10 per day. We recommend using Paypal to receive payments due to it's protections, immediate transfers and the ability to withdraw the money to your personal bank account. It is also free to set up.

To obtain the training manual there is a single non-refundable fee of £9.99. We must accept this fee to cover the training costs, processing fees as well as ensure only serious applicants are accepted. This cannot be deducted from your first pay and no other payment is required thereafter.

If this role is still something you are interested in and you meet all the requirements then please click the following link to make a payment.

  • I too am looking for extra money to earn from home. I must have searched at least a dozen companies in the last fortnight - all seem too good to be true.

I think it is good that people can log on here and check out what is and isn't legit.

I have enlisted with a few survey companies after reading other threads on MSE - I always search them out on here first to find out if people have signed up and are legit.:)
