Houses round my way are selling for high prices and like hot cakes

So I was lucky enough to buy my house last year from a distressed and f e c k l e s s boomer.
This year I see houses identical to mine selling in short order. Two the same as mine went STC in just one day.
These houses are selling for a high price!
Conservatively, and thanks to my canny buying skills, I've probably made £15k to £20k on my house in just one year.
I just wanted to share with the forum how happy I am, for myself.

There are times when mockery is just not enough.0 -
I am sure I referred to the OP as ruggedboast a couple of years ago on a thread.
I cannot for the life of me see why I would have done so 'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
Hot cakes? you mean, due to the recent VAT announcement concerning baked goods and their served temperature, a lot less than they were before?

Actually, OP, you haven't made a penny until you've sold the house & pocketed the money.0

3 houses I was interested in went under offer last week. This is going to be harder than I expected. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I know. The frustrating thing I find is darn it's sold, oh now it hasn't, darn sold again, oh back on the market again.
I can't keep up with all this excitment in the housing market at the moment, it's like watching a pantomime.0 -
I should reiterate I am not advocating high prices and unaffordable housing for hard pressed first time buyers.

I just don't want them to be able to afford my particular property.0 -
There's a few that have been Sold STC for over a year.

I totally agree. This is why my house is worth £100K more than similar houses to mine.
I really can't understand why people have the nerve to think their property is worth as much as mine.0
