please would anyone be able to explain tax credits to me as i am worrying myself sick!
Basically i have underestimated my partners 2011-2012's wage by about £1800.....when we fill in the renewal forms and receive our new award, is it as simple as paying back the £1800?...we would be really in trouble making ends meet if they took that amount back over a few months
many thanks for any advice you can give me:)

Don't worry - for a start an underestimate of £1800 of wages won't result in an overpayment of £1800, it'll be £738 at the most, and might not be anything. What was the estimate and what was your 2010/11 income?please would anyone be able to explain tax credits to me as i am worrying myself sick!
