Hi every one, I need a heavy stone fireplace collected from Devon and delivered to North Wales - can anyone recommend a GOOD pallet delivery company - and please don't say Speedshift - I've phoned them 3 times and been hung up on by a dopey customer services woman as soon as I said the word "fireplace"????!!!!:rotfl:
many thanks

Maybe they thought you were winding them up and it was going to still be attached to the house.

I'm having a similar problem with prices through the roof, I want an oven from Mansfield to Norht Wales and they all want around £150.
Have you tried Parcel2go? They use palletforce and it's £75+VAT unless you are out of their area then it £110+VAT0 -
Update, I have signed up to anyvan courier service and 2 companies have been bidding for my shipping and it's gone down from 95 to 78 in an hour. Maybe try that?0

The problem that I learnt the hard way with these courier bidding sites is that the lower the price goes, the lower the service goes.
I was originally quoted £280+vat to shift a pallet from Preston to London, after a race to the bottom somebody offered it for £115 all in.
When it finally arrived, damaged, without any paperwork, no signature and dumped on a neighbours driveway rather than the correct address, I was told "you get what you pay for mate".
And he was right.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
I've had some quite good experiences with anyvan.com, although for pallets I usually use speedshift, just book it online, https://www.interparcel.com/pallet is quite good, as is (text removed by MSE Forum Team), and https://www.etsltd.co.uk, or try calling your local https://www.thepalletnetworkltd.co.uk depot0
