Know the feeling. If using eBay just remember to add the approx. location of the vehicle, give a time-scale for when it should be collected and add 'You are bidding to buy, not to come and kick the tyres'.

Had some numpty from Liecester win my car then having asked if he could pick it up. I responded and have heard nothing since.

Sorry to hear that - hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised but if not get all your fees back - unpaid strike, etc. Should be able to relist for free as well

Had hoped for a response with an alternative place to sell the truck but looks like I'm going to have to tread a predictably difficult path. £100 non returnable deposit within 24 hours, pickup within 3 days. All bids from ebayers with less than feedback of 10 will be removed unless contact first. Shame that this is required but some items are like a red rag to a bull.

What an experience !!

Listed at 10.00pm on Tuesday. Calls started that night - I turned the phone off. Calls continued the next morning at 7.30am. Over 20 watchers by mid morning and about 10 offers of cash.

Eventually took an offer - paypal gift deposit and guy from London turned up that day with balance in cash and drove Cabstar over 200 miles back to London for export to South Africa.

Surreal - not for the faint hearted or those that want sleep, peace and quiet.
