Raced down to my local store to pick up some of those linksys wireless media adapters, like store opened @ 9 and i payed by 9:03. Got home and realised the box was empty (apart from a few wires and a remote control) so went back to the store as there was "pleanty in stock and i could swap it over no probs"
Seemed to easy and it was, they had all of a sudden sold out so on my receipt they wrote i could have 2 when back in stock. A week later and after over 15 calls to the so called helpline i was called and told they would only give me a refund but that was not on >:(. I got there for opening to get them and all they offer is for me to go to the store AGAIN for my money. Called again today and was told there was 2 put by for me but 10 mins later was told they lost them (into their bag) ::) I was told to bring back the boxes asap. Went back down to the store and was told i couldn't have a refund as i may have taken the product out of the box. Does anyone know of any contacts where you can get someone that listens and sorts out probolems, the helpline can't see what mine is and cut me off. They have even refused to transfer one from a store that has them in stock because they are too small. Rant over

I stopped going to PCWorld years ago. They're a disgrace. I buy everything PC from the net. https://www.ebuyer.com are very good.

I would go down to the store & kick off.........big time.

If you have the nerve, make a scene, they'll refund you sharpish & have you out of the store. Use terms like 'robbery' & 'ripped off' in a very loud voice.

I really want them though :-/ I just couldn't resist getting them but would never buy anything from them usually. Serves me right

Just get a refund & order them from the net. You'll get them cheaper too. PCWorld are a rip off, even when the goods are in the box.

i don't think i will find them for £10, comet sell them for £125. Will have to try again for a refund i guess

just keep asking to speak to the person above the person you are speaking to until they have sorted it out and you have 2 of the things

make sure you go on a saturday afternoon when the shops nice and busy , then kick off i.m sure you'll get your goods ;D

I work in an IT department and much to my horror they use PC World for some things, but they go through PC world business direct , here you get to talk to people that actually listen (dont' think they know much more then the the ordinary advisors) but normally there ok... its https://www.pcwbd.co.uk , you could try them...maybe ??

Never got a reply but thanks for the suggestion. Been to the store who couldn't care less, wrote a letter to head office which was delivered over 2 weeks ago (sent recorded) and they 'never received it' and called the 'helpline' more times than you could imagine. Think i will jut have to let this one go - wonder how they would see it if i went and stole something worth a tenner from the shop??
