How do I update my Garmin Nuvi?

I have plugged it in to the laptop but the only options are to look in the files or open the data, I can't see an option to update! No disc came with it, so I'm thinking it must be doable online.. any ideas? Thank you x

I have a tom tom and you have to download an program to run on your PC ..Maybe Garmin have similar ?0 -
