Parental Control and logon time limit

Looking to restrict my children on the family computer to X amount of hours per day.
Last night I downloaded "Windows Live Family Safety" - part of the Windows Live suite.
This seems quite good and what I am looking for.
However one problem - this only denies/allows the times that they can login at, NOT the duration they can login for.
But I see the software has the ability to integrate with third party software.
What parental control software allows "time limits"?

Can you not just tell them? Or else log them off?0

NetNanny allows time controls, But I would think its easier just to switch the internet off.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I believe it is called the off switch combined with a password but I googled the off switch and it didn't find anything useful. Mind you if you really want to be strict set up a web cam so you can watch what they are doing without getting(off your fat a*se , and using your liberal voice and be a wuss and say please don't use it if you think it is unreasonable) out of your chair/settee and use your iPad / android Phone ....
Parents today , when I was young we could run faster than Mam and Dad when we escaped the house to play footie/cricket or even go scrumping and always returned when told to (well ok give or take 1 hour, and accepted the clip round the ear and cold supper)
OK perhaps I am too old fashioned and remember when we listened to our parents :rotfl::rotfl:4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0 -
Currently I have the passwords and they ask to go on the PC, and I also restrict the times they are online via the router, including appliances like their ipod.
Cheers, just had a look at NetNanny, timed duration for online use - that's good.
Anything that will log off current user if over a set time too, as daughter plays sims 2?0 -
I think I'll go with this setup
1) Windows Live Family Safety (for filtering and logon times)
2) TimesUpKidz about £20 licence. http://www.timesupkidz.com/
TimeUpKidz sets daily and weekly time limts, which is missing from above.
ie, set 5 hours a day, but is also limited to a cumulative 15 hours a week.
Also can force breaks at set intervals.
Will log off account when time is up.
Limited testing so far, but seems to work fine - will no doubt buy when 30 days trial finishes.0
