Hi
Can anyone help a newbie??
I have lodged 2 PPI Compaints with MBNA Credit Cards, one mine & one my wifes, using the template letters on Martins' excellent site. They have declined both complaints stating that we both ticked the box on the application forms.(Sent photocopies back with rejection)
Having been a keen follower & reader of recent posts, can you still appeal to FOS if you still think that the policies were missold? We both assumed that ticking the box for PPI was part of the application process.
Also, is there a concise and up to date SAR template letter to be found anywhere on the Forum
Many thanks for any help given!
Excellent Forum - awaiting Result

    Hi and welcome

Yes you can complain to the FOS normally, if the business have given you the final decision, they should enclose details of the FOS/leaflet on how to complain to them (and to let you know if your eligible or not).

If they have not done this and you have further info to give the business/bank, you may then have the opportunity to write back to them again with this info and ask them to review your complaints, as you have provided further info.

    Hope this helps, good luck.

Yes you can go to FOS but I don't see how a Data Subject Access Request is going to change the fact that you have ticked the box on the application forms.

The FOS does not like the option to tick to not have the PPI. However, it has no issue with the option to tick to have PPI.

So, if you want to go to the FOS, what basis would you be doing it on?
