Occasional maternity wear - where from??

Hi all
I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant, but before the baby is born in July I have at least 3 events to go to:
Close friends wedding - Mid June (will be 7 and half months)
SIL graduation - beginning of July (will be just over 8 months)
Buckingham Palace for a MBE - between now and June - not for me, FIL
Now I am quite happy to wear the same thing to all 3 events, but was wondering where on earth I find an outfit that would fit me at that advanced stage of pregnancy for a reasonable price. I don't mind spending around £100 but haven't really seen anything in any of the usual shops that sell maternity wear that would be remotely suitable, too casual or work-like. I'm around a size 14 so hopefully a "normal" size.
Can anyone help, or point me in the right direction?

Why not have a look at blooming marvellous? They have lovely maternity clothes. There is also Formes or Seraphine, which might take you up to your max budget but you may get something you can wear to all three events looking great!
Good luck, and let us know what you get!0 -
I was going to suggest Formes. I would also suggest getting a Next Directory as they do some really good maternity wear and should have something more dressy that would suit!
Good luck!MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

http://www.cravematernity.co.uk/CraveMaternitySite/pages/home/default.asp?&cookie%5Ftest=1 good separates and some nice dresses, http://www.bloomingmarvellous.co.uk/default.aspx?language=en-GB although I don't think their occasion wear is posh enough, http://www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/matnur_index.php some lovely silk dresses
http://www.hommemummy.co.uk/ quite grown up, some lovely things but quite expensive (sold in Selfridges etc)
http://www.prettypregnant.co.uk/ also quite expensive
http://www.bumpsmaternity.com/index.php?pageKey=1&menuKey=1 mostly day wear but some more eveningy
http://www.formes.com/en/EShopping.aspx also quite expensive
Warehouse also do party frock type things but I don't trust their cut on their regular clothes so no idea what their maternity wear will be like. And there's always Next although I think they're better for workwear than events.0 -
Mamas and Papas have had some pretty things in that would be good for more formal occasions. Isabella Oliver also have some lovely dresses which would be within your budget (and have great re-sale value on eBay!)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

To echo Snagggles, Isabella Oliver does some lovely stuff, my sister re-sold hers on ebay and got back nearly full price on them too :j

Yes, another vote for Isabella Oliver - there is usually lots on ebay, so try there first before you buy in the shop. I always coveted her clothes when I was pregnant, but never actually had any - next time, maybe!0

I liked additions maternity wear, good range of sizes and the prices are brill! Only prob is its ordering online so no trying on first. Grab the catalogue from boots or look online.
Hope that helps a bit!Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -
I second that Additions are pretty good for maternity wear. Usually have lovely wedding type outfits.

where would you normally go for a dressy outfit?
have you thought of just buying a bigger size of your normal clothes? I hated most maternity wear so just bought bigger sizes of my regular stuff!
it would probably be cheaper too!0 -

I would love to get an outfit from Coast where I usually get my wedding outfits from, but I wouldn't have a hope in hell there unfortunately especially as I will be very "bumpy" by then, 14 is usually the largest they do there (I've only seen the occasional 16).
Thanks everyone else, I have a look around those sites/places suggested see if I can find anything.0
