Thank you so much, that is brilliant and just the kind of thing that he was looking for!! Your help is very, very much appreciated
You are very welcome, Trevv"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

Trevv good luck to your son in his new role, sorry you seem to have attracted a lot of grief on this thread. Justicia, this is as good as the young scot card but may have some more discounts. I will register my own organisation so my apprentices can access this as well. Thank you0

Thank you so much for your kind words, i'm glad there are nice people like yourself and Justicia around! Honestly i'm not trying to fleece the tax payer...just wanted him to have access to the discounts that 'normal' students are afforded. Your apprentices are lucky to have such a thoughtful person looking out for them. All the best x0 -
Of course it's my situation, he is my son!! Question is, what's it got to do with you? Or is this just another over-opinionated sticky beak?
I asked a perfectly simple question, why do you feel that you have to reply when you have nothing constructive so say? Don't you dare patronise me or mine!!0 -
Hardly fleecing the taxpayer when he will be making a contribution to the economy and learning relevant skills. he will be an NI and Taxpayer within a short space of time. What sort of society will we have if we cannot support young people into sustainable jobs. Some people have very short-sighted attitudes.0

Best to contact the college or training provider that he is going through for advice on what financial help is available. You did mention previously that the apprenticeship is not government funded in any way, can you elaborate on this please with regards to who is paying for the training and the qualifications involved? Thanks.0

His student card gives him 'normal' discounts.

No worries - hopefully it's of good use to them "Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

Any chance he could get hold of a second hand scooter or something, they are cheap to run and with a few safety lessons on road use I am sure he would be fine, I don't believe you need to have a licence (but could be wrong)"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
