Apple tv 2 jailbreak

Hi, wonder if anyone has done this yet. I recently bought the above and it is running 5.0 software. I have downloaded seas0npass and attempted a tethered jailbreak. All the guides I read say the power cord must be left unplugged during this process and that the only connection between apple tv and the computer should be a micro USB . When it comes to putting ATV into dfu mode I plug the micro USB in , as suggested, but nothing happens. There is supposed to be a flashing light on the ATV prior to me pressing menu & play, but nothing. I am using a windows laptop with XP. Any help greatly preciated as there will soon be an Apple TV sized hole on my lounge window soon!
