Hi just wondering which wireless mouse would work best with a desktop PC? With the receiver in the back of the PC will the mouse work smoothly?

Simply don't know which one to go for, if going wireless?

Appreciate any help

Logitech seem to be very popular. I've had their MX620 model for around a year and am pleased with it. Batteries (2 x AA) last at least 3 months.
I did move my receiver to the front of my desktop PC as it wasn't always responding to clicks as I expected. That did seem to eliminate the problem. You could always get a short USB extension lead if you had a similar issue. I put mine down to a combination of the metal case and a radiator being right behind it.

OK thank you I think there's a lot that last up to 6mths battery life...... as you say I would be worried that the mouse wouldn't respond if the receiver is in the back, but a good idea about the USB extension, which I have & not used for quite a while.

    Thx Santer will check...............

    Apologies

    Should have said MK 700 / 710

The MX5500 uses this usb arrangement

The mk 700 / 710 has the receiver which can be used with or without the cord

Always be wary of claimed battery life.
My Logitech utility says I currently have 25% of battery life, which will last 74 days, so that makes full batteries give 296 days. In reality, I've probably got a few weeks left before it's little red light starts flashing at me. I use the computer daily, for at least a few hours, and never switch the mouse off, just let it go to sleep or whatever it does.

It does have the mouse, but not the one you need anyway

    Another vote for Logitech here
Had this one nearly 2 years now and apart from replacing the batteries it has never missed a beat and it still looks new ish
    Have a nice day :)

no idea how much but i paid about £30 for mouse and keyboard
once you use a wireless keyboard you wont like a wired one again
