Thank you for the b'day wishes, I had a lovely day mostly spent shopping!! Got 4 pairs of lovely silver earrings from an amazing shop, it was a good job I had b'day money to spend :) then we had dinner in a fab country pub on the way home, we even managed to dodge the rain/hail!

    Hi guys

Happy Birthday for yesterday msgnomey, glad you had a lovely day x

Stoopid AF must be due cos I'm up and raging :rotfl: got an horrendously iffy tummy and a sore back. I've already contemplated a snotty email to the council about the placement of a new street light... it's right in my eyes when I go out for a ciggie :D Got to be up proper at 6.15 cos littley's away for a couple of days with my in-laws and there won't be time for me to have a kip before work and I got 3 houses back to back today 9.30-5pm :( Ho hum!

House is being kept on top of, managed to squeeze in 2 trips to B&Q yesterday evening for paint whilst it was on 3 for 2 and I'm chuffed with what I got :j still got £50 left on my voucher :money: hoping to get started on littley's room whilst she'll not be in it.

I'm just having a brew then I'm gonna potter, will do the kitchen and tidy the LR. I really need to sort my finances out too, I don't feel in control anymore so need to remedy that.

Bossymoo, You're doing amazingly well, just reading your posts made me well up so I can't even imagine what's it's like for you, one of my customers lost her husband last August and she can't even bear the thought of sorting out his clothes yet, there's no set rule, you just do it when you're ready xx

    Morning all!

I like today's list - those are the jobs I like to do on Friday, to get the house looking nice for the weekend, bathroom is usually trashed by Sunday as the dogs usually require a bath at some point at the weekend - he is just a mucky pup and she loves rolling in anything vile (usually fox poo) that she can find. She's very crafty, you get no warning - reminds me of Miss Piggy giving someone a thump, she really throws herself into it! Got an industrial size dog shampoo and deodorant spray from amazon this week (works out at a fraction of the price I usually pay - very MSE!) so that's them sorted.

Will strip the bed and get the sheets in before I go to work, then they can go in the TD and be ironed before bedtime - I know it's all in the mind but I really feel I'm ahead for the weekend if I can get that done. Easily pleased eh?!

I've asked to join the FB group too (seeing as my PC is always on ha ha!) - I find the support on here from everyone is invaluable and the lists keep me on the straight and narrow - no making excuses about what I can and can't do, the list is there - DO IT!!

Oh well, time to get ready - have a good Friday everyone!

    To Dos
    DS2 haircut
    Airing cupboard
    Master Bed change etc
    Dirty marks challenge
  • Oh dear my idea of getting more done involves staying in bed and reading message boards.

Did a mercy dash to big shopping centre for school trainers for DS2 yesterday, in and out in under half an hour, only £1 for parking. Very chuffed.

Both boys seem to have done some holiday homework. DS2 still needs to do 2 thank you letters.

I like today's list - have enjoyed reading the holiday lists though obviously not actually doing them!

    Morning all

First HHI of the day done :D DH needed a shirt for work so I've ironed everything off the 2 maidens so off to refill those next and reload WM.

Mainly going to be getting on top of washing/finances/cat demolition for the next 3 days and then next week the big clean and declutter shall commence (you have been warned :rotfl:).

DS3 up - he slept 12 hours solid. Other two went to bed later so I'll give them until 9:30 and then shall get them up too, they have school work to get done I'm sure.

Morning all, painter is finished here until i get the skirting boards on. He gave me a quote at the start and has done loads extra, tracking walls, put tv up on wall, put new light fitting up, respraying old light fittings so i was waiting for it to be loads more but he charged me less than he even quoted at the start. :D I think it was because we feed him full of tea, he's a big tea drinker like us....:rotfl:

Plan today is take the kids to collect new glasses and fix old ones. They want to go to the library as well and i need to go to the butchers too. Then we shall be flying all day, plus a bit in the garden. Still don't know when the floors will arrive but i'm not gonna stress about it, they'll arrive when they arrive.

Right i best get a move on...
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
