Natwest overdraft

Hello, wondering if anyone has experience applying for Natwest overdrafts using online banking?
My online banking shows an overdraft of upto £6k can be made available.
If I request an overdraft less than approved?? limit shown e.g £200, are they going to conduct a credit search?
Thanks

of course it will be credit checked. There not just gonna give 6k to a random customer without doing a credit check.
Or in Bank of scotlands case they didn't and gave me a 5k overdraft which to say the least got me into some trouble.0
