Hello,

A few times now I have had this BSOD that says Bad_Pool_Header on my laptop.

Laptop is Acer Aspire,
4 gig memory,
320 gig HD
Windows 7 with pentium p6200

I havent done anything new, no new programmes installed and it is the third time this has happened to me now.

Please any help would be good. I have two of those mini dump files (which I can neither open nor attach to this post it seems) if those would be of help.

I do have an external HD that I have plugged in before, but its not constantly attached to the laptop, nor is it used every day.

Thanks.

I'm not saying it's very likely, but you can get this error if you have intermittently faulty memory modules.

It's easy to check using a copy of Memtest 86+.

Latest release (4.20), the version described as "Pre-compiled bootable ISO(.zip)".

Download and unzip it, write it to a CD-R with Imgburn and boot the PC from it.

It's a tiny program, so it doesn't take long to create.
