Hi,
My club has about £13000 in an account that has been taken over by Barclays and the interest rate is about to disappear to close to nothing. Can anyone recommend an account that will give us maximum return. We don't need to access the monies in a hurry.
Thanks
Dave

Welcome.
Worth checking with Barclays whether there is an account other than the one they're automatically planning to transfer you to which would pay more in interest, but of course rates are pretty minimal these days in any case.
Then, as well as the usual high street banks, I'd say it was worth getting in touch with Unity Trust and Triodos. The 3rd option I'd also usually recommend is CAF, but if you're not a registered charity I don't think they will be any use to you.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Hi there
I see that no one has come up with any great ideas. I am Treasurer of a non profit making members club and wish to find a home for some £3000 where it will get a decent rate of interest. Have just encashed a 2 year guaranteed reserve account with Halifax only to be told there is no similar account now for clubs and unincorporated associations. Can anyone help please?0
