Either use the moneysaving search function (top right) - many similar threads, or Google house moving checklist - there are many on the web.0

You may want to try the following website:
http://www.helpiammoving.com/moving_house/home.php
We used them before moving and you can print off checklists from the left hand menu.
Hope this helps.0 -
If you have a good quality camera or can borrow one take pictures of every room and carpet.
You should get a check in inventory given to you and the landlord or letting agent should go around the property and check each room for any damage or stains on carpets/walls.
Note the condition of furniture and make sure you have the IN DATE gas safety certificate, electrical safety inspection, EPC, deposit protection information and advice leaflet ( 6 pages I think)
check the tenancy agreement very carefully for all charges0 -
Get on the electoral role asap. Apparently having a land line does work in your favour as well. Not sure how true this is.
Make sure you get a copy of the inventory. Note everything no matter how small.0
