I will hopefully be buying my first house thanks to the government incentive of the contributory £75k. I was told they would be sold as any property would and priced accordingly.
My neighbour purchased at £270k 3 years ago, 2 recent properties sold for £215k and £200k respectively. (2011)
All of the above properties have been converted to 5 beds (garage conversion).
Mine is still original and a 4 bed, will this and the recent sale prices be contributory factors in the surveyors assessment or is the criteria different when it comes to council.
Thanks

RICS red book standards will value any property as an 'arms length transaction' and any valuation of residential property will be done by looking at comparable properties in the area. This should not be any different for council to council0
