Cleaning between oven glass on door - Whirlpool AKP201/IX

Options
Hello!

I'm hoping that someone might be able to offer a few tips on what we can do to clean the grease that the last occupants left inside the glass panels on our oven door. So far we have done an extensive search online and not come up with much that works, compounded by the fact that Whirlpool doesn't provide any idea on how to do this with their ovens (as if this problem never occurs).

It is a Whirlpool AKP201/IX fan oven. The door is 2 panels of glass with a vent on the top of the panels and the bottom is hinged onto the oven frame. Grease was spilled between the oven pans and dripped down between the vents. Unfortunately the vents are not large enough to get a cloth or bottle brush down.

I can tell that the pane of glass on top when the oven is open is able to move about, but being held in place by a pair of clips. Ideally we would like to take this pane out and clean between the panels. It's proving to be a Herculean task!

Paying someone to do this isn't our first choice as we are letting the property.

Any help will be much appreciated! Ta!
:A Thanks to all the lovely people who contribute their advice! :A
