PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Please also avoid posting personally identifiable information, including links to your own online property listing which may reveal your address. Thank you for your understanding.

Property Price Search in your area

I have come across the following site. It is free and allows 20 searches per month of property prices based on a particular post code (which can be vague ie first 4 digits). You will then be presented with a number of streets within your criteria (either 100m from the address you have searched, 500m or a specific postcode only). You will also be asked if you want all sales since 2000 or simply the latest year. I have had a great time looking at my own town. You get a further five searches for each friend you refer. They do not have to take it up.
The site is http://www.ourproperty.co.uk/. Martin please note that you can sign up as an affiliate and get some cash generated for this excellent site too - you will be able to change the above link.
