Made a start in clearing through the paperwork bank statements from 1999. I don't think I need to keep them.

Also taking a few minutes each day to clear out my emails.

Feeling a lot less cluttered in my head these day :j and I have slept well the last two nights. Maybe the saying tidy house tidy mind is correct.

just checked online banking as well to make sure everything is ticking along as it should so happy with this. I have been lax in doing this recently which has resulted in me dipping into my OD and I get charged £1 a day for it  so last month because I was too lazy to log on and move money it cost me £22 in charges :mad::mad::mad: so i am determined to not let this happen again.

  • Well another day.

Have the WM on and a small pile of ironing but I think I will leave the ironing today.

Feeling a bit sore so going to have a lazy day spent in my bed. I will watch some TV, do some paperwork and every now and then put another washing on or put the TD washing away.

Should be a NSD today, tomorrow and Thursday.

  • 2nd load in the WM. TD the 1st lot and managed to get it out and folded before it needed ironed :j I have put it all away as well :)

I am very hungray today was thinking of getting the kids dressed and in the car to go out for lunch but I didn't. Kids are happy with hotdogs for lunch and I am having fish fingers and chip :) So saved about £5 as that is what I would have spent in gr*gs. Feeling very :money:

Lunch should be ready in 10mins.

Dinner tonight will be some of the frozen portions of either lasagne or cottage pie so nice and easy.

  • The good news today was the sun was shinning and it stayed dry :j the bad news I missed it all as was in bed all day in pain :(

Plan to have long soak in the bath tonight and get a good nights sleep so tomorrow I have the energy to do things tomorrow.

OH has had 10 hours OT this month so thats positive.

Need to remember and ask him to check the gas meter as well but I think the £50 we had for G&E this month should just about last. May need to top elec up with £10 but I have had to use the TD a lot this last few weeks.

  • Was up this morning at 9am and feeling okay.

Did last night dishes. Stripped my bed and have this hanging outside although I think it might rain soon.

Need to do another few washes but will TD these. I have hoovered the downstairs and mopped the bathroom floor.

Went to Lidl and spent £16.00

Dinner is Spag Bol with garlic bread.

Going to try and weed some of the front garden today while it is dry.

OH is on a late shift today. Once the kids are in bed I have seen another job I want to apply for. I have not heard from the other 2 jobs I applied for so assume I didn't get it but it would be nice if they replied after all it is all done by email now so doesn't cost them money.

    Right best get on.

  • Just spoke to someone I work with and they have heard a rumour we are going to be paid off. Now this is not an old rumour I have been hearing this for weeks but have not said to anyone.

I think there is a strong chance this will happen but it won't happen overnight.

I have been job hunting for a while as I thought this could happen.

As we sold our house and rent until we are ready to buy again I have always thought we needed my salary to have borrow enought but I have been playing around with figures and actually we could do this on his salary alone. Thing is we still need to add to our savings as with a not so good credit file we will need at least a 15% if not 20% deposit.

mmmm lots to think about today. Needless to say this has put a bit of a dampner on my afternoon BUT I can't stop it from happening if it is going to happen.

Right off to get the 2nd load out the WM and get it in the TD.

  • well done on not going out to get a greGs :T take away, wine and chocolate are STILL my downfall on the MSE journey 18 months or so in (oopsy)

And not so good news on the job front :( but if you can survive on the one wage not all bad, and will that mean you are entitled to more tax credits also? xx

  • Thanks debtfreewannabe321.

No we wont get tax credits, OH earns ust over £26K and we have no child care costs so not entitled to anything.

If the worst happens I WILL get another job I am happy to do most things and have no intention of staying at home, although I wouldn't mind a month or so off :rotfl:

Well this has focused me as has a conversation I have just had with my neighbour. She is pplanning on selling her home this time next year (we rent) and I would be very very interested so I need to get focused on saving another £10K to make this even a possibility.

So going to get the kids dinner then sit down with the lappy and my bank account and get thinking.

Also going to apply for that job and see if there are any others.

What a day my head is all over the place.

  • Had Dinner.

Brought the washing in just in time as the heavens opened:( thankfully the washing was dry. Just need to put it away.

Made a big pot of soup so that should do lunches over the next few days and save a few pennies.

It's too early to send the kids to bed I think:cool: so they are watching Harry Potter. I am going to do the dishes then settle down to get on with job applications and that.
