New Ignition
I had to have my ignition drilled out Friday after the key wouldn't turn it. Fiat Scudo.
Basically what is the cheapest way to keep everything all off the same key? I have seen somewhere someone suggest a locksmith build a new barrel around the existing key. Otherwise i'm guessing it's get a quote off the main dealer?
I could replace it with a new barrel on a different key and just have one key for starting and one for the doors, but this doesn't seem ideal.

it all depends on what you want to spend
ebay for a lock set would be a choice
you have to factor in that there is a chip in your broken key thats needed to start your vehicle and s/h lock set will also have the wrong chip in the key that could confuse the computer for starting0 -
You'd just use a blank cut (non-programmed) key for the new ignition0

Read the question properly. I'm not asking how to replace the ignition with a different one. I'm asking which way will be cheaper of the above to keep everything the same.
Sorry to be blunt, I realise you were trying to help me originally, but i'm not trying to answer my own question.0
