Replacement Laptop Battery Info

I have read some horrendous stories of people by laptop batteries and I wonder if any of you guys can direct me where the best place to buy a good quality near original replacement battery for emachines e430, battery model: AS09A61, 10.8V, 4.40Ah, Li-Ion.

Generally goto ebay, look for a seller with the best track record offering the best warranty from the UK- don't go for the cheapest.

In addition to Rob's comment, as a rule of thumb, look for one which costs about 40% of a manufacturer's own.

It's likely to have come off one of the same production lines (manufacture is all contracted out so any two "real" batteries are likely to be different anyway).

Even if it only gives half the life of a new original, you'll still be 20% up after exhausting two.

I buy all mine from powercell_uk on Ebay. They're based in Nottingham and I've picked up from them in the past.
