Night in London proving to be difficult

I am looking for a good hotel in the centre of London for my husband and I and our 2 boys. I have trawled through loads of sites and the ones that look fairly decent cost an arm and a leg, and the cheaper ones - I think a rodent would turn it's nose up! Decent rate I think should be about £60-£80, as we only want one night so we can take the kids to explore the Nat His Mus etc. Any clues on a decent place to stay guys or know of any offers?

BTW we plan to go Saturday 3 March!

- OMG - Just worked it out - breakdown time or get !!!!!! into gear!!!!!!

Leaving it a bit late for a Sat night, but Farringdon travelodge has a double plus room for £71. A double bed and sofa. Supposed to be for 3 but I`m sure you could smuggle a 4th in.

If you book a hotel through hotels.com using Quidco, they give you £10 cashback, and Hotels.com usually have decently competetive rates.

I don't think so. Fire regulations mean that the hotel could be in trouble if it were allowing four people to stay with only three registered.
