Sending two DVD's to one seller - Shall I send them separatley?

Wondering if I should send two DVD's in one parcel or send them individually, never sent first class or recorded mail since the change a few months ago. Which would be cheaper?

Thanks (many if not all might think this is a daft question but I usually send my items via DHL),

  • Now this one actually got me thinking, (yes, I really do need to get a life :p ) so I dug out a leaflet from the PO that has the size guide thingy inside. If you place 2 DVDs side by side in a large envelope/jiffy bag they will fit into the 'large letter' catagory....it does not work if you put them on top of each other, as the parcel would then be over 25mm thick and therefore classed as a packet.. So I think (but please dont quote me!!!) that it would be cheaper to send them together rather than individually.
2008 gig list... Nickelback + Staind (OMG...Staind ROCKED!!), Roger Waters, Infadels, Pendulum, The Police, K T Tunstall, Breed 77, Biffy Clyro....oh, and Motorhead :D
  • I would be inclined just to send them together because it's easier. I'm not sure if it works out more expensive sending together or seperately.

Are you actually returning these to a seller because there is a problem? If so it should be down to them to sort out the postage.
    Can I help?
  • I would cut them up into small pieces, eat them, and then post myself.

Thanks for the response. Especially, the eating it up one :p .

Im not returning them, just sold a few games and DVD's for the first time on eBay. Usually sell bigger and mroe expensive items where I use DHL instead of Royal Mail.

Will post in one, side by side. I actually got those posting bags....got a link from one of the threads on here.

    Thanks again:T ,

  • I'd put a bit of light cardboard or something in the package to try to keep them in place, just in case they move around and finish up a fatter packet than "large letter" size. I have modified my packing technique for some items to get the best value from the postal Pricing In Proportion system.

Are you giving a postage discount as the buyer's won 2 items?

No, I sold 2 DVD's in ONE listings, it's a follow up e.g. part 1 and part 2. I charged £2.99 P&P which is decent isnt it? Im sending as one, all packed up now and ready to dispatch tomorow. (I love the packaging part of this whole selling process!)

sounds reasonable. I only asked because I've seen irate buyers on the ebay boards complaining about not being offered a discount and then having items posted together.
