Saving itunes purchases onto a new Ipod

I currently have an ipod Nano which is quite old. I am considering getting a newer one which has wireless facility and a bigger screen so I have internet access where wireless is available. Would i be able to copy previous Itunes purchases and uploaded CD's onto a new Ipod or will they be blocked as I already have them on the old one?
