Morning all!
Happy Easter
I am ashamed to admit that I've woken up with a stinking hangover this morning. Wasn't even a planned night of drinking (but aren't they always the best ones). We went to a friends house to catch up over takeaway and a couple of drinks, and then I woke up this morning with that awful niggling headache and not wanting to move feeling.
I've had a bath and a couple of tablets and about 4 pints of water so fingers crossed for an improvement soon.
Today's list will be small.
:easter: checked banking - it looks like I may be one of the lucky few who still get tax credits. £51 a month
:easter: did the kids Easter egg hunt indoors in their bedrooms using only Ald! chocolate.
:easter: planned nsd
:easter: meals for OH and kids from stores
:easter: back on the diet wagon before I turn into a blimp
:easter: tutoring this afternoon to make some £££
:easter: consider writing evening invites for wedding now that the day invites have gone out
:easter: have a nap
You can tell I'm not quite with it.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
My day will mostly consist of ignoring hubby's determined pestering for us to eat out. So that's a saving of 60 or 70 quid.
Yesterday i spent all day in the kitchen catering for a friends easter get together. It was meant to be just a favour on my part with them covering the costs of the food, but they really enjoyed their food and when they gave me the money to cover the bills, there was an extra twenty quid for me
Hubby has also been meaning to build a bigger hen cabin [ our hens keep multiplying ! ] for a while but the cost of timber is scary. So yesterday he saw a big shed advertised on the board in Sainsbury's for 25 quid and with a bit of adjustment inside for nest boxes/perches etc it will be perfect.0 -

I'm working out in the garage. The other day the wind brought down a few fence panels and trashed them, i had timber up in the rafters that had been there years from another job so i'm cutting it and pulling out all the old nails. Never throw anything away, i knew it would come in useful.
Oh for a couple of weeks i've been meaning to check when my Mot is due, it's around about now so i must dig out the paperwork. First job though is fill the Panny that takes 5hrs to do.
I've just remembered i have to change the clock in the bedroom. When the clocks went forward i never changed the one by my bed, i need my glasses to see the buttons but keep forgetting to take them upstairs and it's not until the next morning when i keep having to add one to the time that i think about it.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

2lts water
Food from stores
Log food with calorie counter
Bit of OU
List more things on Ebay
Look into travel insurance, usually just go for cheapest but after having cause to use it a little while ago, and having an awful experience, will look into it a bit more!
NSD apart from postage
Read Martin's ISA guide to figure out what to do next...
Continue to tidy/chuck/recycle
Vacuum/dust/change bed!

Ahh well, today for me will consist of doing abit of writing for a novel competition I want to enter, and resting up for a rave I'm going to later - I have set aside £20 for it and am not going to spend any more than that. I made sure I was writing about it for a magazine so that I can't get too drunk and spend too much money
PLUS - I get some beer tokens, so it's not all expense!
Food - already in the house
Today will probably be my most expensive day of the week even so. I've got to try and keep my costs down!
Also:
*Wash bedding
*Tidy room & kitchen
*Put washing away
*Learn a new song on guitar
Happy Easter everyone!

Well it's gone 3pm and MrDarling has given up on getting me to eat out and he's nodded off on the sofa instead. The rest will do him a power of good and it doesn't cost anything.
Today's dinner will be using up an excess of tomatoes and some stale ciabatta in a panzanella salad with roast chicken. That's later though, right now i'm having a lazy hour with the lap top, a cuppa, and Small Fat Dog curled up with me in front of the fire

Hi all
Can I join you this easter weekend?
Plans for today (done or to do)
* Load of washing on AA wash and on line
* Dress hemmed ready for another lifetime of wear (bless it's heart, its more repaired than dress by now)
* Have NSD number 3 of the long weekend
* Speak to OH on Skype rather than phone (much cheaper whilst he is sunning in Australia!!)
* All meals from stores
* Research cheapest way to get some plants in the sad looking pots in the front garden
* Clean bathroom and use up some of the products in the cupboard!
* Try and resist robbing £2 out the jar to buy an easter egg tomorrow as I haven't had one yet!
Hope everyone is well.
I have enough money for the rest of my life... as long as I never have to pay for anything again!
