Sat 7th/Sun 8th April - What small dfw things will you do this weekend?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:
Morning all!
Will I cross post, or will I not? Happy Easter weekend to everyone... hope you're enjoying a few extra days off work/with the kids. As expected it's a bit grey and miserable here.
Here's my list for today:
;)check bank
;)check surveys
;)washing done and on airer - just sofa covers to do
;)see my mam and have lunch there
;)visit friends this evening, who are making dinner for us
;)see my dad this morning - he's taking OH out for a drink (and OH is going to ask him to be best man which is quite exciting)
;)flylady
I think that's about all for now, but I'll be back for an update later. Have a good day all!

Morning!
Okay, my plans for today are:
*Go to work for extra shift DONE
*Dry shampoo instead of shower (haha washing my hair every day has changed to every other day in a bid to save money on heating the water - I call this a huge sacrifice!) DONE (lol)
*Today is pay day at my evening job, so check the pay I get and pay all but £20 into my bank via quick deposit DONE - I also got an extra £8 in tips today (amazing what a smile and a cheery bit of convo can do) so I actually still have £100 left of my wages after taking the £20
*Put washing away and wash bed sheets Umm...let me have a cuppa first!
*Do some dusting Ditto!
*Lunch from work so FREE
Will try and wangle some free food for tea too - if not, use leftovers This was a win - I also managed to score some fish scraps for el catto (not that she appreciates them, the fussy little mare)
*Put some dresses on ebay Again - cuppa first!
I also was reminded that I'm due some remuneration for some international royalties paperwork I'm filling out for a client - £80 I didn't know I was getting might be on it's way soon once I get the work done...guess I know what my sat night's about then....Goal: Debt-free by 01.12.16

Hi all
Thanks for starting us off Wannabee...am liking the positive way you are giving up shoes Natlie..I would find that hard! And DNMS...decorating the kitchen?! that sounds like hard work. Have been meaning to do mine for months..maybe it will happen one day this Spring!;)
So, with today almost over... I have or will:
- [STRIKE]make PADs and check banking[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]go shopping with a small list[/STRIKE].. spent £7.52..including salt, reduced spinach and 10 lemons which whilst not on list were good buys..I was so cross:o at not finding any preserved lemons for a tajine (lord what kind of nonsense does that sound but you know what I mean..I went to 4 shops!) that I have decided to make my own! Much more MSE and they look very nice on the kitchen bench and as they will take a while then will just do without for the recipe tomorrow - life is too short to stuff a mushroom and all that!
- update spreadsheet of spends - looking good - have spent just over £10 today...so not bad!:D
- put washing away..I hate that job. I usually get OH and the kids to do it but they are away
- one egg so far today. We are drowning in them which is nice. Will be great for a lovely cooked breakfast on Monday.
- have done the chocolate bunnies and eggs..they look great if I say so myself and are so easy. I will definitely do again next year
- friend came around for a cup of tea so avoided spends in the pub. Would have been nice..but I still got to see her which is the main thing
- have to hoover TTB (top to bottom...was that poohbear59's phrase..can't remember but its now in my vocab:rotfl:)
- do some work..boo...but may do whilst looking at TV!
- stocked up woodpile ready to use the stove rather than putting heating on
- enjoyed the small things in life..listening to R6 and R2..aah..it takes me back!
Think thats it for now.
Have a good weekend all
