My Living Space

Options
Be careful if using this company.

I purchased a wall clock. When it arrived the hands were out of sync. Hour hand points to 12 and the minute points to 25 past.

No answer to phone and e mail. When I eventually got through, man said he was having staff problems. He was very pleasant and most apologetic. He promised to arrange a replacement. A week later and no exchange and no answer to phone or e mail.

I shall return the clock for a refund by recorded delivery. Thankfully I paid by cc card, a charge back will be my next option.

Maybe i'm missing something, but can't you just use the knob on the back to put the correct time on it?

Not sure why this situate means you should be careful when using them :s

Thanks for your prompt response. Please be advised:

    1. When you turn the adjustment knob both hands move in sync. This photo may help you to understand

    2. I get very concerned when a company fails to respond to phone e mail and does not do what they have promised in a timely manner. It may be due to staffing problems, but I feel a good company would have resolved these within two weeks.

I would suggest be careful if you choose to use this supplier.

Don't you think it may be best to wait until you see how they deal with the refund/replacement before criticising them. No company is immune from the occasional faulty product, it's how they deal with the problem that counts.

I'm also still confused about what the problem is.

    Look at the photo.

Do I really have to explain? When the minute (BIG) hand gets to 12 the hour (little) hand will be midway between 4 and 5.

It has been ten days, how long would you wait? :A

That's a bloody awful clock, mind - working or not. Hope you get it sorted.

Can't you turn one hand, while keeping the other hand still to get them in sync?
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

It is a sealed unit. It was quite expensive and I would rather return it than risk breaking it.
