hybrid car

Does any one has any experience of hybrid cars, part electric part petrol? are these any good? any pitfals? please help if you can, thanks in anticipation. sebastian

'Johnnyreggea' I think Strider590 has a point about costs against benefits. If it is economical to run then Prius is a better car for me, hoping it will not break down. May be it will look as though I am running a minicab, but of course no offence against minicabs meant. A newish small car should suffice but I may not fit in it, decisions, decisions.
