Difficult to advise without knowing which model it is. Could you post a link to a photo of the unit?
I have a couple of PIR bulkheads, and with mine it's a case of carefully sliding a small screwdriver between the base and the lens in order to release the plastic clips.0 -

I got it now, I think I will have to use a screwdriver to release the four plastic clips. They look fragile, I removed it before to replace the bulb but cannot remember how I did it but did not manage to put the cover back securely. Pl can you give me a tip how to put the cover back so that it clips into place? I am relocating it from inside a porch to an outside wall, I assume it is outdoor use. Is there any way I could tell whether it is suitable for all weather? Thanks0
