Hi
Finally managed to order a new ipad 32 gb :jfor family including my autistic son who loves anything computer based. Now need a strong case and have seen the Griffin Survivor on Amazon but it says its for ipad 2 although the reviews say it fits like a glove on the new ipad. Does anyone have one of these for the new ipad or is there another case I should be looking at?
Many thanks for any recommendations.

The height and width of the ipad 2 and new ipad match.. The only difference is the depth, which has a difference of about 6mm.
If it fits snugly, then it was probably a tad loose on the ipad 2.
Can't advise on cases, I don't use one with my ipad 2. But if you have reviews you feel you can trust that says it does fit fine on the new ipad, prolly not a bad idea considering it to use. If it looks like it'll do the job. If it doesn't already come with one free, buy some screen protectors as well. Not overly necessary, but with kids you can't be too overly protective of electrical goods

My Daughter, also autistic, has the Griffin Survivor case for her iPod and so far it's doing a great job. She's managed to tear the corner of the rubber and pull off the rubber flap that covers the headphone socket as well as put a deep etch in the screen guard but the iPod inside is still as good as the day she had it (Xmas). It's even survived a fall down the stairs.
There's a plastic shell that goes over the device and a rubber cover that goes over that. It's designed for the military and is supposedly tank-proof but we're looking at ordering a spare as we know tank-proof is a far cry from autistic child-proof.0 -
Having had a look at them, they're pretty impressive.
http://store.griffintechnology.com/survivor-ipad-3
basically lists the Ipad 2 and 3 as the same item, so should be fine.
I'm off to find videos to see those put to extreme, just to see what it can deal with
I do wonder with them, whether you can easily pull off or not. That'd be the concern with someone who fiddles a lot.0
