Copying Sky + to Computer to Burn to DVD

Is there a way to copy the recorded Sky+ programs to my pc so i can burn on to DVD, hence clearing my sky+ of Rainbow and Button Moon!

    yes but you have to buy a video capture card (should be less than £20).

    I do this and basically run an s-video cable and audio cables from my sky to my pc video capture card - the software on my pc allows me to copy to the harddisk to then burn onto dvd or can actually direct burn to dvd as its recording.

    check out https://www.ebuyer.co.uk for one - it doesn't need a tuner just an s-video or composite input.

    Why don't you just skip the PC altogether and buy a DVD Recorder?

    I am looking to buy a DVD Recorder, but not sure which one to buy, I don't want to end up with the equivilant of a betamax recorder, copying it to the PC seems a nice short cut at the moment.
