Hi can someone explain this to me,
I have been having a number of unwanted e-mails and I block them, I always check the senders address without opening the mail, but to-day I recieved one and when I checked the senders address it was MY OWN e-mail address so I opend the letter and this is what it said.

How can someone send a HIGH PRIORITY letter using my own address.
I would be grateful for your advice thanking you.

one of the tactics of spammers is to 'spoof' the address of the peopel they are spamming in the hope it will make it into your Inbox and avoid the Spam folder, the spammer knows your email address (because they are spamming you) so they just copy the email address to the 'From' field.
I wouldn't worry about it, just mark the email as 'Spam' (you don't say who your email is with, it could be called 'Move to Junk') I receive spam from myself all the time but it goes in the Spam folder I don't mind.0 -
Thanking you I did not know they could copy and use my email address.
Thanks a lot.

You can set the "from" field in an email to whatever you like. I suppose spammers assume it will be less likely to be marked as spam if it appears to have been sent by you to yourself...0
