Shih tzu health problems!

Hi I have been browsing this forum and found it really helpful, I was hoping someone could maybe offer me some advice.

We have a beautiful little shih tzu who we have had from a puppy. She has always been prone to vomiting and she is underweight. We have tried every doog food imaginable dry and wet. I would have preferred to feed her dry as I think this is better for her but none of them seem to agree with her, so she is now on james wellbeloved wet, she can only tolerate the turkey one. I have tried to increase her food to get her to put on weight but any time I try she seems ok for a day or two then she will start vomitting and the runs! This happens even if I only try to increase in a tiny amount.

A couple of weeks ago she started shaking after her feeds, not all feeds just some. I took her to the vet who was worried because she can't seem to put on weight and her other symptoms she may have a liver shunt. They did a blood test before and after feeding and her levels where slightly high so they gave her a liver scan yesterday but said her liver looks fine and no sign of shunting.

They are now saying they think it must be some kind of gut problem and have taken more blood tests. We won't get the results of these until next week sometime.

I was just hoping someone might have had a similar experience. She shook after her morning feed this morning and it lasted for about 20 minutes and I am very worried about her, she is the sweetest little thing, and such a good little dog I just want to know what I can do to help her.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
